A fun week! Today I hit 10 months in the mission! It finally sounds a little long ;) but its also starting pass by really fast!
This week Elder Echanique and I were contacting a refference. The girl wasnt there but some guy from the second floor came out so I asked him if we could share a short message with him. As soon as we got up to his house he gave a soda so I already knew this guy was gonna be awesome. His name is Ismael.
Ismael has a little interesting background. Hes about 40 years old and from Medellin. Here in Colombia its really easy to go to jail for something you didnt do. He told us a story about how some people set him up for something he didnt do and that he spent 4 years in jail. But he told us there he found god. He knows a lot about the bible. After we taught about Joseph Smith he said wow this is something new. He then asked what days do you guys work? We laughed and said everyday haha. He said can you come back tomorrow? In 5 days weve visited him 4 times and we are going to visit him again tonight! After the 3rd lesson he said hey on Sunday im gonna make you a guys a big lunch. And he did! But the bad thing was that he couldnt go to church because he was busy making our lunch hahaha. The lunch was super good. He invited some friends over to listen to us! Weve known this man for less than a week and hes already inviting his friends to listen to us and giving our panflets to his friends! His whole family know has baptism dates and we are gonna continue to work with him. When ever we ask when we can come back he says when do you want to? theres always time for La Palabra. You say the time and ill be here.
This was the miracle I saw this week in my mission! I hope you are all doing good I love you!
