Corbata! Corbata! Corbata!

Im going to start off with a little story haha. In my district there are 5 of us. There are 3 elders including me and then 2 sisters. The sisters names are Hermana King and Hermana Jensen. All of the latinos have a huge cursh on Hermana King haha. Last week one of the elders asked me and my companions what her email was! we all just laughed thinking he was joking but he was dead serious! We said we could ask her if it was okay for us to give it to him and she laughingly said no. But just like the scriptures tell us when we fail we need to try and try again! and thats exactly what this elder did haha. The night before he left he asked us again for it and we all told him she said no but then something very interesting happened... he then started saying corbata, corbata, corbata! Corbata means tie in spanish. he was literally saying he would give me the tie he was wearing for her email hahaha. Me and my companions started dying and we all fell of thte floor in laughter. I then went to ask hermana king if she would take this sacrifice to give her district amigo a tie haha. after a little convincing she said yes. I gave him her email and he was so happy he hugged me and wouldnt stop thanking me. Later that night as everyone was saying bye she shook his hand and right after that he stared at his hand and said that he was never washing it haha. I think deep down Hermana King likes this attention hahaha. 

Today since it was already our halfway point which is crazy to think about! as tradition the Nortes (White People haha) we get to go to Monserrate which is the tallest mountain in Colombia! We took a sky tram thingy to get to the top! There is a church up there which to their religion is as sacred as the Salt Lake Temple! The view up there was amazing!!! You could literally see all of Bogota which is huge! I have never seen so many houses and buildings at once! Then after we were done up there we went to a Hamburger place. It was really good for Colombia Hamburgers but i definitely sure do miss my in n out! After that we went to a Futbol (Soccer) Jerssey store! I bought 7 jerseys and 2 pairs of sweats and you are hearing about this the same time as my parents so I would like to apologize to them hahaha. They are super good quality and about 15 bucks so I think they were a good investment!

Lastly the most important Holiday of the year was on Sunday!!! Mothers Day!!! I got to talk to my family! we only got 30 minutes but we still talked about lots! In closing I would like to say how much I love my Mom! I must of got the first draft pick in Heaven to pick my momfirst and I definitely chose the right person! Mom I love you so much and think of all the little things you do for me! Little things like every single item of mine is marked with my initails or all the little random things you threw in that I didnt think I would need but it found its way in being useful. I love you more than any other human! (sorry dad you are defintely up there though!)
