🍰A Happy 19th Birthday! 🎉

🍰Happy 19th Birthday! 🎉

First off thank you for all the birthday wishes!!
I had a different kind of birthday but it was still great! I had an "English Class" but some members brought me a cake and then we played some uno! They sang me happy birthday and then when I went to blow out the candle my companion Elder Chinchay slammed my head in the cake and then everyone started laughing at me haha. Then right after that my second mom, Hermana Lourdes, got me a cake as well! She also decorated her house with balloons and a Feliz Cumpleaños sign! She also got me a Colombia scarf, I'm not exactly sure if she knows where she lives or not cause I don't think I'll be needing it for the 90 degree weather haha. But I will for sure be using it after my mission! She's literally the best and it's crazy how much she loves us cause all we do is eat her food that she makes for us and then sleep on her couch for 30 minutes and then she has to clean up after us. I don't ever wanna leave this area just because of her!

On Thursday as a pre-birthday present we got a call saying we were invited to go to the temple later that day. We thought it maybe was to just look around the outside since it's almost done but we got to actually go inside! They were practicing giving tours for the open house which is in November so I think us missionaries were one of the first people to go inside! It's so pretty, oh my. The outside is gorgeous and the inside theme color is my favorite color, light blue. Sadly we couldn't bring our cameras so I don't have any photos of it. It was truly a special experience!

Our investigators are doing good. We had our new high of 8 people attending church so that was great! One of our investigators that I thought was progressing pretty well asked us a question. He was a little confused and started going off on how we missionaries have so much knowledge about all this stuff, he then asked us 100% seriously, "Are you guys in the Illuminati?" That has been the best questions I've received so far on my mission and I think it also gives me a chance to bear testimony real quick, us missionaries and members have more knowledge about this stuff because of the Book of Mormon. We are not part of the Illuminati.

My Spanish is getting better! I love being a missionary because I get to preach the gospel and still be me! When we contact I just try to get the people to laugh and then usually they let us into their house and we teach them a lesson! All is good! Thank you for all your prayers and support!
