Cow Udder Soup and Laser Pointers

Hola!

Sorry I wrote a basura email last week. (Basura means garbage for all you gringos that don't speak Spanish.)  Christmas was solid, to be honest 100% it didn't really feel like Christmas. Not exactly sure why but there was no snow, I was sweating really bad instead of being cold! But I got to talk to my family that was cool! I feel kinda bad, we were allowed to talk for one 1 hour but I guess I didn't miss them cause we kinda ran out of things to talk about at like 49 minutes haha.

One of our investigator's mom had her birthday and was turning 45 or something so you guys know me I made the joke. "45? You mean 27 right?" Well she thought that was really funny and that I was nice so she invited us in to eat some food. I was excited cause most of the time the food is super good but my cunningness this time turned against me. My funny, heartfelt joke won me a bowl of cow utter soup. No more jokes from me.

I bought this laser pointer the other day which might be the best purchase I've made so far in the mission. When we are at someone's house and they have little kids, I shine it at the floor and all the kids try to smack it. I started shining it on the kids and they literally just starting smacking the person. It's literally the funniest thing. I feel kinda bad but it's literally so funny that I don't stop.

We have this investigator named Isis. No she's not a terrorist and also you don't say Isis like at home haha. It's like Esis. We were looking for a address and we couldn't find it. (Not the first time that's happened here.) Cause sometimes the directions are like, "yeah I live by this big tree and sometimes there's a red car in front of our house and there's this dog that is normally laying in front of our house. But we asked her if she knew where it was and then we just started teaching her. That's one of the best ways to contact people. Anyway we've taught her a few lessons and each time she fills out all the questions in the pamphlets we give her! She went to church yesterday with us but of course sadly she's not married :( So I'll put a gofundmelink here that you guys can donate to so we can raise money for her to get married so she can be baptized ;)

Hope you all had a great Christmas! I hit like 8 months the other day so thats crazy! Make some snow angels for me!

Isis with her pamphlet!

Heber, he's an investigator we have but he always lies and says he's not home
when we see him so not sure how I feel about him haha.

Here's a picture of me kissing a bird. I don't know how I'm smiling tho cause it literally just kept biting me over and over again but it was worth it for the picture haha

Here's Jauqin who's 98 years old!

Our investigator, Isis is in the pink with her niña!
Please pray she can get married!!

Here's our investigators at church.
The best plate in Barranquilla, Fried fish with patecons and aqua de panela!!

Heres us with our ward playing soccer.

And a picture with Nephi. Yes his name is literally Nephi haha but he's super dope.

A member who served in California on his mission asked me on Sunday what food I missed from the states and he said he would make it for me. So I said tacos! I now have a new favorite member. haha

Here's a pic that a member sent me of Grayden & his companion
And the same member sent me this video- she thinks he's loco.
